Rush Arts Gallery + Resource Center is a core program of the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 by brothers Russell, Danny and Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons. The gallery provides exhibition opportunities to an emerging artistic community, and exposes disadvantaged urban youth to contemporary arts and culture. Elisa Contemporary Art was founded by Lisa Cooper in 2007, and the gallery opened in 2008. We are Riverdale, NY’s only public contemporary art gallery. We are dedicated to promoting the appreciation and collection of art as a way to enrich our lives and communities. For that reason, a portion of every sale is donated to philanthropic organizations that help children and families within underserved communities heal and grow through their experience with art.
