Artwork Description

This work is 26"x 38" pencil and ink on paper. I am currently working on a series of drawings exploring the concept of escaping. I love the lines of comics, and combining them with more traditional fine art lines lends an animation and a history or map of what just occurred in the drawing.

My drawings are currently exploring traditional fine art concerns with the language of comics. Within this language I am exploring the concept of escaping. The escape can be as simple as a hotel escape route or as complex as an imagined escape route from a place or situation, be it real or imagined.
