Concept can benefit from the objects that are used to create art, and because objects can navigate a concept, they are equally important and depend on each other. I am intrigued by how we move through space, and how the many identities of space can be implicated within art. I desire to marry high technology and vidoe with assembly line manufactured materials, while interweaving performance, video, and sculpture into each a discrete form but dependant upon each other. Much of my work is based on a conceptual framework that uses diverse media in order to create a visual methodology to navigate the concept. I combine many layers of media in order to create visual culture that can communicate back through an object and incite an extraction of meaning. The process that creates something is an important element that can be woven back into form.
