These are video stills from Autobiography of a Year, a four-screen video installation exhibited at A.I.R. Gallery in 2010. It consisted of daily video diaries from each day of 2009.

damali abrams
damali abrams is a Guyanese-American video and performance artist, currently working in experimental documentary, who lives and works in NYC. damali is currently working on Autobiography of a Year II, a documentary of 2011 consisting of daily video diaries posted online at damaliabrams.blogspot.com. She also performs live readings from journals that she has been keeping since childhood. Her mediums include self-help, social networking and cable access television. She received her BA at New York University and her MFA at Vermont College of Fine Arts. damali was a 2009-10 A.I.R. Gallery fellowship recipient. In New York City, her work has been exhibited at MoCADA, A.I.R. Gallery, JCAL, BRIC Rotunda Gallery, Rush Arts Gallery and NY Studio Gallery. damali produces a weekly television series on Manhattan Neighborhood Network called Self-Help TV.
