Artwork Description

Party At Lucky Chengs is a mixed media painting consisting of silkscreen on muslin, hand cut and sewn pennant flags with fabric confetti, and a fox face. The piece was inspired after I found a multitude of animal hides, and animal parts in the garbage near the garment district, where block long lines of trash bags filled with these throw away bits waited to be picked up by the city trash collection. I took as much as I could carry in an attempt to restore the spirit of the animals through art.
