ARTIST STATEMENT ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... My art emerges from within. Although I work with various mediums, the pencil and paper is what I use to layout the foundation. The pencil and paper are the simplest resources that bonds human and cultural traditions. I feel a very intimate connection to these fundamental mediums, because they unlock ideas. Currently, I am creating crafted watercolors, which depicts friends, neighbors, strangers, girlfriends, and family members. And also, exploring emotional depth and the human physical condition. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................... Part of the inspiration is the magic of pushing colored wet dirt on a flat surface and layering colors to create an image or the illusions of space when there is no space.
