This is a portrait of friend, Tony Gonzales, a fine art photographer. I tried to portray his vocation and passion.

Kathleen Migliore-Newton

The figure is my passion. I have painted people on urban streets, in the subway, in museums among artists I revere, and in focused portraits. The challenge is to portray a three dimensional figure on a two dimensional surface. I continue to try to use brush strokes sparingly to capture the gesture and features of the person.
